Gemini image model

Google's Imagen models were retired in favour of these native "Nano Banana" image models — this is the current one as of writing, not a legacy Imagen endpoint. If it 404s later, check Google's current model name and update this field.

Default target word count

Pre-fills the "Target word count" field on new stories and outlines. Still just a guide for the AI, not a strict limit — the editor can change or clear it per article.

Research Library

Automatically queue every scanned story into the Research Library

Library Research on a story is always available regardless of this setting. Turning this on additionally drops a pending (unextracted) research item for every new story the daily scan finds, so the library can build up passively — extraction still only runs when you click Run extraction / Research Again on an item, or Process pending queue on the Research Library page.

Neo4j Aura Cloud

Enable the Neo4j integration

Off by default, and safe to leave off — this only turns on the connectivity module underneath. Nothing in the Research Library, story review, or the writer uses Neo4j yet; that's a later update. Uses the Aura instance you've already created — this doesn't create or manage Aura instances.

Tests whatever Neo4j configuration is currently saved above — save your changes first. This only performs a minimal round-trip; it never sends, displays, or logs your username or password.

Free news scanning

The daily scan reads RSS feeds configured under News Sources — no API key or credits needed for discovery. Only Write Antenna Article and AI image use your provider key above. The Research Library's extraction pass is separate again and also uses this key, but only runs when you trigger it.
